Móqʷix, meaning "people gather" in nle?kepm, is an Indigenous-owned consulting and training firm rooted in connection, community and capacity building. Founded by Indigenous professionals, we bring deep lived experience and subject matter expertise to every space we enter. We believe in action-oriented reconciliation and practical, transformative support for those working alongside or within Indigenous communities. 

We aren't just advisors - we're partners in change, committed to equity, professionalism, and culturally grounded solutions that serve both Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations.

About

Rochelle Barsanti, Co-Founder & Director of Programs

A proud member of the Siska Indian Band, Rochelle brings over 20 years of experience in the employment sector, with a career built in designing and delivering holistic, trauma-informed programs. With her experience supporting Indigenous learners, job seekers, and community members, she is highly regarded for her relationship-first approach and her ability to create safe, meaningful learning environments.

 

Rochelle has worked with federal departments, Nations, training institutions, and community organizations in roles that required program design, classroom facilitation, coaching, and collaboration across multiple jurisdictions. Her work is rooted in Indigenous ways of supporting learners and in practical systems knowledge gained from nearly two decades in employment and education services.

Olivia Lamirande, Co-Founder & Director of Operations

Olivia is Métis with family roots in the Red River region. She grew up connected to Métis culture through family, traditional dance, community gatherings, and learning cultural practices tied to food, story, and relationship. She carries that grounding into her work today, where she focuses on building systems that reflect cultural safety, relational accountability, and dependable service.

 

Olivia is an operations professional with experience in Indigenous program delivery, federal services, and national training support. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with formal study in Operations and IT Management, and specializes in designing structured, efficient, and scalable systems.

 

At Móqʷix, Olivia leads business operations, planning, and delivery. She oversees project structure, timelines, reporting standards, quality control, and the digital systems that support the firm’s work. Her focus is ensuring that every engagement moves from concept to completion with clarity, organization, and care.
